INTRODUCTION Valdenice's time stretches far back, perhaps being one of the oldest civilized planets. It homes the Valdins, a species known for being more complex then they first appear to be. The planet is considered neutral, however they sway more towards the anti end of things.
THE LAND Valdenice is most known for its seas, an unnatural and vivid shade of blue. They are crystal clear, easily revealing the bottoms of the seabeds. When the time of night encompasses the land, the waters continue to make their presence known with a bright glow. The seas of Valdenice are the inhabitants life line and the Valdin's take great care of them, pollution non-existent. But these waters aren't all they seem.
The planet species are astoundingly adapted - they are the only ones who can handle the oceans natural toxicity that comes with consumption. While they can be swam in, its advised that planet visitors remain careful in the deeps and shallows. Valdenice is a place of mystery, and the reasons why the ocean is this way and why it glows has never been solved. But there lies closely guarded secrets by the people on how to purify the liquids, thus making Valdenice water a delicacy across the galaxy.
Scattered among the oceans depths is a lengthy string of large islands. Despite being surrounded by water, the land is adorned with hills and their counterparts of valleys, and the majority of the area is dry and made up of cream, tan, and orange rock. The coastlines break up into a series of other big stone masses that cup beaches, and mountains decorate the sky as they mingle with wispy clouds.
The planet lacks much vegetation besides a few shrubs and grasses, but in a few sacred locations can you find the dense forests of old. Trees and palms line the coast, and as you enter the mainland of each island they grow more scarce and smaller save for the monument woods. Splashes of color can be found in proudly discussed wildflowers in some more plentiful, oasis or river fed areas. Its mountains are not much different, however they find character through the sporting of a wide array of valuable gemstones.
THE ARCHITECTURE Since wood is not an abundant enough resource for complete buildings, the structures of Valdenice have long been made of their toasted hue stone. Valdins are people of elegance and craft, so their structures are of great renowned work, intricate and beautifully complex. Color and art is held dear to those of the planet, so they indulge in stained glass windows, paintings, sculpture, metal working, landscaping, and gardening to list a few of notoriety. Valdenice is a cultural and arts center within the galaxy.
The transport systems of towns are complex with great numbers of narrow alley roads and twists and turns among mountain or hill paths. Potted flowers, flowing fountains of their glowing blue waters, overhanging balconies, sound from open windows and the rustling of clothes hung out to dry is what you may experience as you dwell deeper into the cities.
THE PEOPLE/SPECIES The inhabitants of Valdenice are known as Valdins. These people are very closely resembling of humans, often very tanned and bronzed from their very hot sun. Natural blond hair is a genetic rarity; instead, the list of natural colors includes gingers, warm or dark browns, or a near black brown or actual black hair. Freckles are a very common occurrence. Anatomy wise a Valdin is usually taller than most humans, and usually are lithe and graceful upon their feet.
But Valdins are not human duplicates. No, Valdins share the mystery and unpredictableness of their famed waters. They are the chameleons of the Exodus world, able to morph their appearance to that of a doppelgänger or in mimicry. Rarely do they change their own Valdin appearance - no, the people of Valdenice take pride in their beautiful and enchanting looks - but instead use this ability for other means. It is believed by them that each Valdin has a first face that is always there, the default one and the appearance of their soul. Whatever morphs they take are masks worn to blend in with those outside of the motherland.
Wearing these "masks" is also not a common occurrence with the fact that changing their bodies and looks is an energy draining process. They can only maintain a disguise for so long before they must switch back to their first face and regain the power to morph again. There is a few other things about Valdin's that set them apart from humans - the closer they are to the planets sea, the brighter the glow of their eyes becomes. They also have pupils like that of a cat, usually rounded but if startled or alert can just as easily switch to slits.
Clothing wise they indulge in an array of colors, most often olives, dark yellows, oranges, reds, and black may be worn but it's also considered a special occasion color. These are not the only options, but just some of the most popular. Gold is also often seen in accessories and top offs for clothing.
BEHAVIOR/CUSTOMS The behavior of the planet is more so traditional and old fashioned - to an extent. The Valdins have a strong sense of family dedication or orientation, and often that gives them their hardworking drive.
